Q. I've tried taming my brows with a clear gel, but it flakes. Is there an alternative?
A. Opt for a tinted lip gloss, suggests N.Y.C. makeup artist Mally Roncal. On Ashlee Simpson and Beyoncé, she uses MAC Lipglass in Oh Baby ($14; maccosmetics.com), a natural hue with golden flecks. "It holds brows in place and gives them a sheen," she says. Dab on, then swipe hairs upward with an eyebrow brush.
