It's not hard to find well-priced bridal shoes if you look around. Kathryn Finney of the Budget Fashionista weblog got her own pair, from Kenneth Cole, for $7 at shoe discounter DSW. Since nothing dictates that you have to wear shoes designated as bridal, you might try waiting until August, then shop for white summer shoes or sandals on sale. If you buy an inexpensive brand, however, you should make absolutely sure the shoes are comfortable.
If white shoes aren't something you'd ever want to be seen in after your wedding, buy a beautiful pair of pastel, beige or metallic shoes, with an eye toward wearing them for future special events. For a similar price you'll get much more value.
