Q. Is a smoky eye too much for an evening wedding?
A. In a word: Yes, says Bunch. "Smoky eyes are trendy right now, but as a bride, your face needs to shine and glow—not be loaded with black makeup." Plus, smoky eyes involve a lot of dark shadow, and you’re wearing white—not a match made in heaven. "Your makeup needs to last, and the more you put on, the more likely it is to slip when you warm up or run when you cry," she says. A more appropriate way to define your eyes: "Line the upper, inner-rim of the eye, or for more emphasis, the entire inner-rim with a black eye pencil—it will make the eyes pop but won’t overpower your look," says Bunch.
