Red25 Events planner Heidi Asimus thought something was a little odd when her college friend Mike Mayne paid for dinner for the first time in their 11-year friendship. "I considered it just another one of our twice-yearly dinners, so I didn't think anything of it," admits Asimus, whose clients have included Rebecca Romijn and Tiffani Thiessen. "Then we kissed in his backyard, and I knew."

A little more than a year later, Mayne took Asimus on a romantic walk along the shoreline in Manhattan Beach, Calif., where he got down on one knee in the sand and presented her with a 1.16-carat Asscher-cut diamond ring in a platinum setting.
